The Martinez Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a dynamic example of high-elevation Pritchard Hill mountain terroir. Rich and exciting, the 2019 offers a full-spectrum experience of abundant fruit, intriguing aromatics, and Martinez’s signature minerality. The nose opens with black fruit, dried thyme and an almost saline stoniness. In the mouth, an explosion of bright red and black fruits holds the center, while fragrant notes of dried rose petal, coffee, citrus zest and toasted oak swirl in and out of perception. Rocky minerality thrums a steady baseline throughout, and ripe, well-knit tannins provide elegant support through the long, mouthwatering finish of black fruit and orange pekoe tea.
