2022 Julien Fayard Crazy 8 Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Julien’s second release from the Crazy 8 Vineyard in eastern Yountville celebrates the site’s west-facing hillsides with abundant sun-kissed fruit and succulent textures. The nose bursts with bold blue and purple fruit aromas, layering juicy boysenberries and black raspberries with sweet caramel and the earthy scent of a live oak forest. The full palate shines with the ripe sweetness of purple plums, chocolate and cherries, interlaced with elegant notes of black pepper, baking spice and bay laurel. Very fine, luxurious tannins bring round mocha notes that linger through the indulgent finish: golden caramel and chocolate, lifted by the tangy sweetness of summer berries.
