The 2022 vintage offers a magnificent expression of the wind-swept Platt Vineyard, which perches on a hillside just five miles from the Pacific Ocean. The nose opens with intense aromas of black cherry, allspice, petrichor and dried rose petals, shaded with soft notes of cedar, vanilla, and freshly turned earth. The palate delivers a generous black cherry core brightened by fresh red fruit acidity and layers of intriguing spice, blending ground ginger, allspice and savory cumin. A graceful thread of minerality provides linear structure for the sleek, fulsome fruit and supports the wine’s decadent finish of cherries, cloves, and vanilla buttercream.
